On January 22nd, O Melro, part of the TriPortugal group, received the Lean&Green award which aims to recognize companies for reducing their carbon footprint on the planet.
The award of the first Lean & Green star corresponds to the recognition of the first stage of emissions reduction foreseen in the program. A reduction of more than 20% in carbon dioxide equivalent was proven in logistics and transport operations, through the implementation of more efficient consumption monitoring systems and the increase in solar panels for greater electrical energy production, leading to a reduction in electricity consumed by the plant, using fossil compounds.
Environmental responsibility and commitment are part of TriPortugal’s strategy and we seek to improve and implement measures that reduce our ecological footprint, and allow us to achieve our desired objectives.
